Argentina won 2015 South American Youth Football Championship

Argentina defeated Uruguay in the final (2-1) and crowned South American champions after 12 years, giving them a ticket to return to the Olympics after an absence in London.


These kids touched an entire country with sacrifice and effort to close this Sudamericano Sub 20 in the top of the table, recovering glory after 12 years and getting the ticket to the 2016 Summer Olympics by beating host Uruguay in the final game.

The Uruguayan scored in seven minutes with a strike from Pereiro. However, leaving the soul in each ball and demonstrating the exquisite football level of some of those who wore the blue and white, Argentina managed to turn it around and the lift the Cup before a packed Centenario, which ended mute

Driussi equalized and brought calm in the first half with a 1-1. The draw was enough for La Albiceleste to crown, but a magical touch of Correa finished the game like how we all wanted to see. Correa’s that beautiful finish and impeccable savings of  Battle ensured the victory and ended the game 2-1.

Gio Simeone, who could not net in the last game but finished the tournament as top scorer with nine goals.

Argentina screamed again champion and will be in Rio de Janeiro 2016.


Angel CORREA, best player of the tournament with 4 goals and Giovanni SIMEONE, top scorer of the tournament with 9 goals.
