The Argentine U17 lost 2-1 to Ecuador in a match at the Nicolas Leoz stadium in Asuncion in their debut match at the U17 Sudamericano championship
The Ecuadorians were ahead within 21 minutes of the first half through John Pereira and stretched the lead in 88th minute by Anderson Naula. A minute later, German Berterame scored for Argentina but there was no time for recovery.
Argentina will play their next match on Sunday against Uruguay who won their first match 4-1 to Bolivia. The other member of the B group is Chile.
